"I am thinking," he begins, between light kisses along her jawline, "that it is long past time I kept my promise, and took you to Verona."

Or maybe I'll just hand in my resignation. I am sick of it. And then I can do what I like.

Mmmm, I'll write out my resignation in the morning, maybe. I'm too comfortable right now.

"I am glad to hear that. Spend the night with me?"

It is somewhere between an offer, and a request.
