His eyebrow arches. He wasn't trying to be inconspicuous.

"But do you know why I'm watching?"

I could make several guesses.

The eyebrow stays up.

"I think you'd be wrong," he replies a little smugly.

"Perhaps I'm waiting for you to enlighten me."

His eyes drift to the coffee preparation.

"So?" Indy replies stubbornly, padding around the counter and stopping directly behind her.

He circles his arms around her waist and kisses her bare shoulder, then rests his chin there, carefully taking in the set up for the brew.

Indy sighs. "Fine."

"You know, one day I'm just gonna be resolute and not let you charm me into defeat."

The caressing fingers on her hips say otherwise...

Another kiss. "Other than the obvious reasons like gorgeous lover in pretty lingerie, I am intrigued by your coffee."

Indy's invisible halo slips a little, and he bites his lip.

"Possibly. Because I just don't get it. From disaster to the best damn coffee I've ever tasted. Better than Mike's, mine, Bar's and definitely better than Alanna's."

A slight chuckle. "I told you about her attempt at a filterless brew the other day, right?"

Indy's fingers pause in mid-stroke. "You do? And you're going to tell me with no bribery or teasing, of course."

"Well, in that case... lay it on me," he states brightly. "Reward negotiable, dependent on the relative juiciness of the gossip."

He sends up a little prayer to whoever makes these things work out so perfectly.

Indy screws up his face victoriously.

"Hah! I knew it!"

"She's been denying it for over a month now. Ooooh, she is in so much trouble for lying to me."

He gives her a very grateful kiss. "You, my dear, have earnt yourself a big reward. Thank you."

Indy is beside himself with happiness right now. Not quite bouncy Lilly glee, but pretty damn ecstatic. It's sad really...

"Heh. I think I just had an idea for a Say True article, or maybe a letter to the Advice Column," he says with a snicker.
